Every Browser on One Computer: Using Virtual Machines to Developing on Multiple Browsers and Devicess
You can finally turn off all your extra test computers and quit borrowing phones and hitting up friends to test your new website. Free virtual machine software and device emulators can run any web browser on any platform you want, right on your normal development computer.
We will be introduce you to virtual machines and show you how to use them to run the most common browsers: WindowsXP (IE7), Windows7 (IE9), OS X (Safari), iOS (Safari for iPhone & iPad), Android (default browser & Opera). We'll also show how to integrate them into your normal design & development process.
Bring your own laptop (Windows, Linux or Mac) and after the presentation we'll take some time to help you setup your own virtual machines. Note: You'll need to bring your own installation discs for Windows or OS X if you want to install IE or Safari! We'll bring free copies of the iOS and Android emulators.
