About

Who We Are

The Sacramento Web Standards Group was founded by a group of web designers and web developers. Needing an outlet to bounce ideas off one another, we wanted to create a relaxed social environment that facilitates learning through discussions and practical training sessions. The monthly gatherings are open to all persons interested in web design or web development. Most topics will be advanced in nature, geared towards members with a high level of understanding of the industry already. If your brand new to web development you are welcome to attend, just know that the discussions offered will assume a certain level of understanding.

Time & Location

Meetings are held on the third Thursday of the month from 6:30PM – 8:30PM. There may be some events that start at a different time depending on the venue or topic. Actual times will be posted with the event announcement so please make sure the times are correct.

The Sacramento Web Standards Group is currently meeting at The Urban Hive located at 1931 H Street, Sacramento, CA 95811The Urban Hive is a really hip community workspace for creative professionals.

Fee's

The Sacramento Web Standards Group a community group supported entirely from it's members. I am are doing everything in my power to keep the meetings free and open to anyone. However, the group does need money for food, space rental, and a projector. So I am asking that people that can afford to donate something to the group, please do. Without donations to support the meetings we may have to impose an attendance fee or remove the already limited perks like pizza and beverages. So please Donate Today! Every little bit helps.
